The Long Island Engineers Golf League plays a spring season and a fall season.  The spring season consists of 2 person teams that play for 10 weeks on different courses.  Playoffs are then held to determine the league champion.  There are two divisions divided by handicap index ratings for the teams.  Players compete in both medal and match play.
The fall league consists of individual play for 6 weeks on different courses.  The players compete in medal play and if they choose, stableford also.
There are prizes for league champions, runners-up, division champions, medal and match play champions.  There is also a Golfer of the Year chosen by the league committee.
The committee consists of seven players that determine the dates of play, courses, rain dates, interpretation of the rules of golf, and any other matters that may arise.
